About Nyoum Pyramids 6 October

Apartment 3 Bedrooms for Sale in Nyoum Pyramids - 6 October

The Nyoum Pyramids located in 6 October City, Egypt are a lesser-known but nonetheless impressive set of structures. These pyramids were not built during the ancient times of the Pharaohs but are a more modern-day phenomenon.

The Nyoum Pyramids were commissioned by a wealthy Egyptian businessman named Nizar Sabry in the 1970s. Sabry had a vision of creating a magnificent burial site for himself and his family that would match the grandeur of the ancient pyramids that Egypt is famous for.

The pyramids were built using modern building techniques and materials but still pay homage to the ancient pyramids in their design. The site features four main pyramids, each accompanied by smaller pyramids and temples. There are also several smaller tombs scattered around the site.

The largest of the pyramids is the Pyramid of Nizar Sabry, which stands at a height of 70 meters (230 feet). This pyramid is made of reinforced concrete and covered in white marble, making it a striking sight against the blue sky of the desert landscape.

The pyramid complex also features several other impressive structures, including an artificial lake and a large hall that was used for family gatherings and ceremonies. The whole site spans over 20 acres, making it an impressive and expansive complex.

Unfortunately, Nizar Sabry did not live to see the completion of his monument. He passed away before the pyramids were finished, and his family completed the project in his memory.

Today, the Nyoum Pyramids are not as well-known as the ancient pyramids of Giza or Saqqara, but they remain an impressive sight for those who make the journey to see them. While they are not part of Egypt's ancient past, they are still a testament to the country's enduring fascination with pyramids and their significance in Egyptian culture.
